Mac Elite: Dangerous fans who are feeling grounded while their PC brothers and sisters are cruising the stars will soon have their own chance to blast off. The team announced today that the Mac beta for the game will begin on March 31st.

This beta test will only be available to current beta holders and will require players to download a new launcher. The team posted recommended specs, although minimum specs have yet to be determined. Interestingly enough, Mac testers will play and exist on the same server as the glorious PC master race due to the need to test crossplay functionality.

Once change that’s coming for all players is that the bounty system will soon require a cooling-off period before a player can pay to remove it.
