Jagex has published a website update focused on some of the “more pressing issues” being faced by the Old School RuneScape community. The ongoing DDoS attacks that began after a recent ban wave are the dev team’s biggest priority at the moment. “Our SysAdmin team have put a lot of effort into making our network more resilient which makes it harder for them to be ddossed,” Jagex explains. “There is still some way to go and work has been continuing to improve the network further and give you the service you want.”

The firm says that players should expect the attacks to continue, and as a result it has left its “kinder” death mechanics in place so as to avoid punishing players who get caught in the crossfire while the kinks are worked out.
