WRUP: Early access maybe edition

You're a liar, Future Me! A wonderful liar.

This week, no one will exactly be surprised to learn that I’m playing Final Fantasy XIV‘s early access weekend. Or trying to, anyway, because while the servers are nice and stable and the content seems largely free of bugs, you’re going to be stuck with some pretty horrendous queues and lobby server errors the moment you try to log back in after you log off for literally anything. Which, you know, isn’t something I’m really going to rake the company over the coals for… but it’s still kind of annoying to sit through.

But enough about me, by which I mean a very small bit more about me and about others. It’s What Are You Playing, wherein we tell you our plans for the weekend (and our Patrons chime in) and you let us know your weekend plans in the comments! And there’s no queue here. There might be login issues, though, depending on how nicely Livefyre is running.

Brianna Royce (@nbrianna, blog): Marvel Heroes for me. I’ve got five characters unlocked now and have been playing obsessively, alternating between Storm, Squirrel Girl, and lately, Invisible Woman, on whom I am not using invisibility, heh. Justin was right; patrolling a zone with other people was the way to go. So many expies!

Eliot Lefebvre (@Eliot_Lefebvre, blog): Oh, come on, the intro made it obvious.

Justin Olivetti (@Sypster, blog): I’m deep into a nice WildStar groove right now, splitting my time between adventuring in Malgrave and rebuilding my house.

DirtyKlingon (@deekay_zero): Derping around in WildStar as usual and doing some epic hardcore (cupcake) rated battlegrounds. In addition, I’ve got an epic episode of our Dungeons & Dragons western reaches campaign via roll20.net this week, as my entire party almost died (some nearly instantly) and fought to stay alive via 5th Edition’s edge-of-your-seat death saving throw mechanic, while the remainder of our party fought alongside a huge white dragon against a super badwizard! Super exciting times!

Jagmas (@jagmas, blog) It’s kind of a broken record, but Ark is really fun, so when I’m free this weekend I’ll still be playing Ark: Survival Evolved with a smidgen of Shards Online thrown in especially since they’ll have the servers up early for testing the entire weekend.

Your turn!
