The Finnish courts sentenced 17-year-old Lizard Squad member Julius “zeekill” Kivimaki today, but Daybreak‘s John Smedley isn’t having any of it. Convicted so far of a staggering 50,700 computer crimes to date with more on the way, the e-thug was given a virtual slap on the wrist in the form of a suspended sentence — that is, no prison time — and a parole mandate to “fight against cybercrime” and conduct his future internet activities under surveillance. The Daily Dot says he’s been convicted of “data breaches, felony payment fraud, telecommunication harassments, and other counts relat[ing] to fraud and violations of company secrets.” According to Smedley, Kivimaki has not yet been convicted for his role in the Christmastime DDoS attacks on the Xbox Live or Playstation networks.

Smed, whose American Airlines plane was diverted mid-flight after Kivimaki called in a bomb threat targeting the then-SOE president last August, has noted that today’s sentencing is unrelated to his own case, but he nevertheless unleashed his apparent anger in a series of messages on Twitter:

that was the piece of garbage that brought my plane down, leaked my information and did all kinds of other crap to me.

It’s important to note – he was convicted of crimes that had nothing to do YET with the PSN DDOS over Christmas (yes he was part of that)

and he still has 15 other criminal cases awaiting prosecution in Finland.

I may go after his parents in Civil court too. Little dirtbag

so stay tuned because @what_security – Here’s his Twitter address. He’s a sociopath and will get what’s coming to him.

what they won’t tell you is he did time in jail already and got his ass kicked hard inside. @what_security – tell us that story Julius.

The FBI nailed this guy literally immediately. It took the Finnish government a long time to catch up.

I got to talk to this dirtbag once when he called and pretended to be someone else.

I also got to listen to the entire conversation between him and American Airlines the day he called in the bomb threat.

His parents need to be held accountable for his actions in addition to his going to jail. @what_security – So I’m coming for you Julius.

this is just his first conviction which makes him a convicted dirtbag. Next time he won’t get suspended sentence.

GamePolitics notes Kivimaki has said he feels no guilt over his actions.
