Coming this fall to a Guild Wars 2 near you will be the next evolution of the game’s PvP scene.

ArenaNet announced today that it will be introducing PvP leagues with the launch of Heart of Thorns. According to the studio, the leagues will be “a place for beginning PvP players as well as up-and-coming PvP talent to compete, see progress, set goals, and be rewarded.”

The leagues will be divided into six divisions (from amber to legendary) and take place according to a seasonal schedule. As players work up through divisions, they can be assured that losing matches will never knock them back down a division while a season is running. Of course, there are rewards as well, including nameplate badges and spiffy new wings.

You can check out an overview of the PvP leagues in the following video.
