SMITE is now available on Steam

Good for those of us who need screenshots, though.
Increasingly, there’s no reason to not just run every conceivable game through Steam, aside from the fact that it’s another program on top of whatever else you’re running. SMITE is the latest addition to the expansive catalog of free-to-play titles available via the distribution platform, although unlike many titles showing up on the platform, it has arrived today with little fanfare at the time of this writing.

Players already enjoying the game separate of Steam can continue doing so, although swapping over to Steam is the only way to get the accompanying pile of Steam achievements. If you’ve been awaiting the game’s release on the platform to try it out, your day has come.
