Star Trek Online is giving players the chance to design a ship

The look of ships in Star Trek Online is a big deal; you spend a lot of time flying about in the ships, after all, so you want them to look good. A new carrier is on its way from the design team, but rather than just picking a design and going, the development team behind the game has decided to get the community in on the action. Eight designs will enter, and only one design will be produced as the next carrier in the game.

Players can check out all eight designs for the ship and will be able to vote on their favorites starting later today. The voting will be in single-elimination tournament format, meaning a few rounds of voting between pairs of designs. Check out the candidates and get ready to decide the future of several possible ship configurations.
