WildStar’s lighting will look different on September 29

Carbine has published a dev diary that explains how WildStar’s visuals have been improved for the September 29th WildStar Reloaded update. The patch will feature a lighting pass “of pretty much the whole game,” Carbine says. It won’t all happen at once, though, as the dev team has started with low level zones and will work its work toward high level areas.

Changes include an increase in the number of light sources, the addition of star rays, and campfire glow. Carbine says that the tweaks allow it to make dramatic improvements to visual quality without changing “the already high quality models and textures in the game.”
