ARK: Survival Evolved is transforming to ARK: Fear Evolved — at least for one week at the end of this month! The survival game will herald the holiday with a brief seasonal change that makes the nights longer, turns the days colder, and colors the moon red. And what Halloween would be complete without some spooky creepy crawlies or other undead wandering around? In the case of ARK, those bumps in the night come in the form of a mythical Dodorex and its legion of bloodthirsty Dodo zombies! Survivors who manage to dispatch the terrors will get some limited-edition treats for their reward. For those really handy with a knife, there will also be pumpkins to carve.
Tucked down at the bottom of the announcement are plenty of other fun tidbits of news, such as the introduction of half-height railing structures next week, the addition of skeletal items on alpha creatures to mount on the trophy bases, the shortening of the life span of lone foundations, and much more.
