Development for Elite: Dangerous is moving right along, as evidenced by a recent livestream featuring Frontier founder David Braben that’s been summarized on Reddit.

The Horizons beta will deploy in two stages, with ships coming in the 1.5 release on November 9th followed by the 2.0 patch on November 24th. Schedule your sick days accordingly. Braben also mentioned NPC wingmates and crew, planetary schematic maps, an orrery map, and more, though no time table was given.

The 2.0 patch will also introduce the early stages of crafting, according to the livestream notes. There’s a lot more, too, and you can either click the summary link or watch the full stream, both of which are after the cut.
