With WildStar’s Reloaded update over a month old, Carbine is now turning its attention to the next big patch for the game. The new content addition, which is called Enter the Cryo-Plex, will focus its efforts on the MMO’s PvP scene.
The centerpiece of the update will be the titular Cryo-Plex arena, an Eldan facility that Protostar researched and abandoned. Now, players will pour into the arena and fight in teams of two, three, and five to secure the knowledge hidden in this frozen patch of the world.
Carbine teased several of the rewards for the ongoing second season of PvP, saying that even if a team only manages to place in the top half by the end of the season, its participants will still get a unique title and pet. The studio doesn’t have an announced end date for season 2 or a start date for season 3.
This morning we reported on NCsoft’s claim that WildStar has seen “conspicuous user movement” since its free-to-play transition.
