Star Trek Online previews the community-designed Jupiter carrier

The first community-designed starship is coming to Star Trek Online with the Jupiter-class carrier. While it’s got sleek lines, the Jupiter’s biggest selling point isn’t its firepower but its array of fighter craft, ready to deploy and to make use of the ship’s unique special abilities.

Jupiter carriers are able to provide a potent buff to all allies in a group, improving damage and accuracy whilst providing temporary hit points to all nearby ships. It also features plenty of Science seating (along with an Intelligence chair) to help disable enemies and buff allies. Those who reach the apex of mastery with the carrier will learn a trait to empower fighters with enhanced torpedos when enemy ships are locked in a tractor beam.
