For 13 years, AdventureQuest has provided a 2-D solo experience for Artix Entertainment’s fans. Now the game is due for a major upgrade, as Artix has launched a Kickstarter campaign to create a 3-D MMO version of its long-running title.

AdventureQuest 3D purports to be a cross-platform, fully 3-D MMO that can be played on PC, tablets, and smartphones. Players can mix-and-match classes and fight in real-time combat across an ever-expanding fantasy world. The team places an emphasis on getting players together to have fun (sidekicking is a standard feature here) and promises a lot of future updates.

The MMO adaptation has been in development for 11 months and is looking to raise $200,000 to cross the finish line for release. The team is also encouraging supporters to vote to get the title greenlit on Steam. We’ve got the trailer and a virtual reality fly-through for AdventureQuest 3D after the break!
