We’ve got a double Star Citizen PSA for you this weekend.

First, Star Citizen is open this weekend for yet another “free-fly” event; anyone can sign up to check out the 2.1.2 build of the alpha (aka Crusader aka the “mini-PU”), arena commander, and the social module.

And second, Cloud Imperium has reiterated that Squadron 42 will be splitting off from Star Citizen packages, so you have just about two weeks left to pledge if you want S42 included in your SC package. Wrote the studio,

At the December livestream, we announced that Squadron 42 and Star Citizen will be split into two separate packages in the near future. To update on this: the split will occur on February 14th. Squadron 42 will be available as either a stand alone game or an optional addon for Star Citizen rather than be included by default. If you want to lock in both games for the lowest possible price, consider pledging before this deadline.

We’ve also tucked the latest Around the Verse and yet another Gillian Anderson Squadron 42 interview below.
