The RIFT community is certainly abuzz about all of the big changes and plans for the game in 2016, not the least of which is the coming April patch that will contain brand-new souls (classes) for the game.
So what are these new classes? The devs demurred on many of the specifics on a recent livestream, but they did say that each of the five callings will get one new soul apiece. Rumor has it that one of these souls is named the Maelstrom, although Trion Worlds refused to confirm that outright. These five souls will be bundled and sold in a pack when the update drops.
Other tidbits from the livestream including the news that Trion will be merging chat channels, has something fun planned for March, and that it’s working on a new 10-player instance for the future.
