It's been quiet.

Eagerly awaiting the next update to Elite: Dangerous? It’s been pushed back a fair bit, but it has been confirmed that the next update will enter beta on Thursday, May 5th. The most recent developer stream announced the date but also noted that taking the day off from work to play the beta might be a bad idea, although whether that’s due to the beta being buggy or bosses that will fire anyone playing the game is as of yet unrevealed.

The handy summary on the forum puts all of the previewed mechanics into one easily accessible spot. Each Engineer in the game will have individual motivations, interests, and backstories, with each individual NPC inviting or dealing with players based on a variety of factors; players will collect salvage, bring it back to Engineers, and use it to upgrade modules. Check out the full summary for more details on the soon-to-be-tested game mechanics.
