Darewise Entertainment has officially launched the Kickstarter for survival sandbox ROKH today. The game allows players a freeform sandbox experience surviving on an eerily accurate Mars thanks to NASA data, with base construction, a programming system, crafting, trade, and death by sandstorms.

Darewise says it seeks $114,803 US (€100,000) in crowdfunding to “immediately put more resources on the development and ensure a bigger scope for the Early Access release” as well as to “convince game industry partners to join.”

“We hope to get your support to add more resources to the project and ship it with a larger feature set,” it writes. The studio currently stands at 17 people; it toted its demo to PAX East.
