Black Desert revises skill awakening and reset systems

If you’ve been eagerly anticipating Black Desert’s upcoming skill awakening system, you might want to take note of a few changes. Renamed skill add-on instead of awakening, this system will unlock at level 50. At this level, the first of three total skill add-ons will become available; the other two unlock at levels 52 and 54. When attaching an add-on, players can apply up to two effects. Changing these add-ons or which skill it is attached to will cost either one fragment of memory or a Cliff’s Skill Add-On Guide (Skill Add-On Reset), the later of which is purchased in the cash shop. Add-ons will not change when using “all-skill reset.”

On the skill reset front, players can now redistribute their skill points freely at any time on any character that is level 55 or below. Characters at level 56 and higher must use the new Armstrong’s Skill Guide (Combat Skill Reset). These skill guides can be obtained as rewards for hours played (starting at 200 hours for a one-day guide) or purchased through the pearl shop for either pearls or loyalty tokens.

Note: Loyalty reset coupons will no longer work starting on July 20th. Those coupons will be replaced with inventory slots if the game package it came in was opened already, or with the new skill guides if it was not yet opened. All previous reset items will also be converted into the new skill guides.
