Final Fantasy XIV eases weapon requirements with patch 3.38

I want a new... arsenal.
How’s your weaponry looking in Final Fantasy XIV? Could it use a bit of an upgrade? The small patch that just dropped won’t inherently upgrade your equipment, but it will make it much easier to upgrade the items you already have. Players can now purchase Illuminati Deep Gobdip with Mhachi Pennies and Mhachi Farthings to upgrade their Lore-bought weaponry, and it’s also easier to pick up the necessary encrypted tomestones to buy said weaponry, with no weekly limit and only four clears of Alexander Midas necessary.

The patch also makes it easier to progress through earlier stages of the game’s anima weapon quests, reducing the item requirements to get valuable reagents and allowing players to purchase certain items via Grand Company seals. It won’t make the process trivial, but if you hadn’t yet been taking part, it’ll be far easier now to catch up to the more recent steps.
