Kudos to Destiny fans: They may be passionate about their game, but they are also big on helping others. A week-long charity stream organized by some of the game’s popular streamers pulled in over $500,000 for the St. Jude Children’s Hospital. That finally tally more than doubled the $200,000 goal. Fans weren’t the only ones cranking up the total near the end of the marathon stream, either. Bungie employees also got in on the giving action, including CEO Pete Parsons, who gave $2,000.

The charity stream was planned as a lead-in to the second Destiny Community Con that is happening in Tampa, Florida, on Saturday, August 27th.
