WRUP: Do to the Ri to the Toh edition

Well, here we go.

Late on Friday evening, my wife told me that she had seen this character’s name. That is a real thing. A character named “Doritoh.” This is, in so many ways, a wonderful thing. Naming your character “Dorito” already seems like a strange name, but this player went above and beyond. The name “Dorito” was already taken, but whomever sits behind the keyboard with this Blood Elf Priest said no. “My character will be named a homophone of Dorito!” the player proudly declared, choosing this hill out of all possible hills to die upon.

In this header image, Doritoh, you are reunited with your kin. Know that whomever this extant “Dorito” may be, you are now and forever the true inheritor of the name of a mass-market brand of bad tortilla chips encrusted with flavor dusting that will probably give your car cancer. The rest of you may share your anecdotes about weekly gaming in this week’s What Are You Playing, and if you are the legendary Doritoh, please do tell us.

Andrew Ross (@dengarsw): It’s gonna be another Pokémon Go weekend, but it’s a little special, as there’s an event I plan on hitting up. It’s not exactly local, but close enough that I’m hoping to meet some of the people I see all over the LA Beach community.

Brianna Royce (@nbrianna, blog): I dunno what I’ll be up to. Guild Wars 2, probably; I finished my Necro and now have to decide which of my three remaining non-80s to level. One of my guildies has also been after me to quit screwing around in Titan Quest and actually play my copy of Grim Dawn, so we’ll see!

Eliot Lefebvre (@Eliot_Lefebvre, blog): Boy, that World of Warcraft: Legion, huh. It’s pretty darn fun. Also got some roleplaying to do in Final Fantasy XIV, that’ll eat up the weekend.

Justin Olivetti (@Sypster, blog): There’s always the reality and the hopeful dreams of weekend plans. The dreams are that I’ll have so much time that I could play everything that’s been on my mind lately, including WildStar, Twin Saga, and RIFT. The reality is… Legion. I’m so behind. So, so behind. It’s embarrassing.

MJ Guthrie (@MJ_Guthrie, blog): I am so glad to be able to get back into ARK: Survival Evolved and assure all my dinosaurs that I did not abandon them! Also, I am sure the neighborhood association is not so happy with my incomplete greenhouse just sitting there, not even sporting a full roof yet let alone housing any greens. I’ll also be taking the time to continue my quest for The Secret World’s Doomboard. I’m actually halfway there, but we are a bit more than halfway through the event, so I need to try and kick it up a notch in my challenge completion. Rumor has it that Lord of the Rings Online is in the midst of the Farmer’s Faire right now, so maybe I can squeeze a bit of that event in. What I won’t be playing is Shroud of the Avatar. That game is just too dangerous for me. It sucks me in; I lose time and can’t get away. So I will resist.  I will.  I swear. It will not tempt…

And now, your moment of Zen:

Your turn!
