The Elder Scrolls Online’s One Tamriel is live today on PC, introducing a revamped world where all the level-locking content gates have crumbled to dust and you can now take your newbie to most places on the map. (Craglorn, as we detailed last month, no longer requires a group for its main questline.)
“Game content in ESO is no longer gated by your character’s level! Right out of the tutorial you’ll have the freedom to go anywhere in Tamriel and play any content, in any order, just like other Elder Scrolls games. Your character will automatically scale and balance to the content. The alliance restrictions have been lifted in all open-world zones, with the exception of PvP areas. High-level players will be able to group with friends who are new to ESO; anyone below Champion 160 will scale so everyone can adventure together. Every zone has been modified to ensure a mixture of content for solo and group play is available.”
Console players, you’ll be waiting until October 18th for the update.
In conjunction with the launch, ZeniMax is running a wacky “Trip of a Lifetime” sweepstakes that’ll give entrants a chance to win a trip for two to one of five “exotic” locations in keeping with the Tamriel theme:

Summerset Isles Package | New Zealand: Prepare for the multisport fun in the adventure capital of the world, paddling a sea kayak on the stunning north coast and hike from glacier to rain forest or raft on a subterranean river.
1000 runners-up will be granted 1000 cash shop crowns. Entrants will need to sign up on the official giveaway site before December 16th, 2016, and follow the instructions therein to be eligible.
