World of Warcraft heralds the coming of Patch 7.1.5

It looks likely that World of Warcraft's Patch 7.1.5 -- a surprisingly packed "in-between" update -- will be coming very soon now. It's always a good sign of an imminent update when the devs bring out a new survival guide video to sum up the patch's main selling points.

If you're into the game's PvP scene, you might end up with better rewards from Legion's Season 1 than what was doled out. This is because Blizzard's standards for top-tier rewards were too strict and resulted in fewer than anticipated winners. The studio said that it will reevaluate rankings and redistribute rewards soon.

Patch 7.1.5 will introduce Mists of Pandaria timewalking dungeons, micro-holidays, the return of the Brawler's Guild, secondary stat adjustments, and class balance changes. You can check out the survival guide after the break.

I was hoping that this was the patch that brought class mounts, but it looks like i'll have to wait until 7.2 before i resub. The brawler's guild is one other thing i was waiting for, but i don't think it's worth subbing just for one feature (in my case).

Looks pretty sweet to me!
Can't wait for these micro-holidays.

I love the silly stuff to break up the daily routine.

Waiting for Argus details because raiding is pretty much the single worst experience in modern mmos.

Hopefully they can turn things around because if I do one more of these world quests a whole spaceship full of puppies will be flown into the sun.

Just because I was being "tough" on wow and said pic captured the essence perfectly of somebody that said something tough on the Internet but isn't going to do shit about it

Orgrimmar is kind of empty these days. I hope this patch brings players back.

Man, the selfie patch had complaints but i dont think i have ever seen such a "blizzard what the hell are you doing?!?" reaction like what i'm seeing online about class balance.

Maybe its because the head balance guy revealed he plays with a graphics tablet instead of a mouse? :p

Seriously though, i havent seen the WoW audience this upset online for a good while, and this is a userbase that will go a year without updates as the norm nowadays, that must be some crazy class changes upcoming.

@Dope_Danny A lot of the changes are downright bonkers. The whole legendary system has completely failed at this point. During Legion production they removed a lot of class abilities/passives and instead put those as abilities on legendaries, making certain legendaries critical to actually perform with specific specs. Then they turn around and realize "hey, that's a terrible idea because now we're screwing anyone whose RNG doesn't give them the right legendaries!"

So their solution is to nerf those legendaries, except they forget to put some of those abilities back into the actual classes, causing specs who were already mid to bottom tier to be even worse. Check out the Hunter forums for example, Beastmasters have been a total shitshow through the whole expansion. 40% of their rotation is spent doing nothing while they wait for cooldowns and focus to come back up. With the upcoming changes, it's going to be worse.

More like cringe worthy for the class changes.

Funny, most of the excitement and chatter about WoW is about patch 1.12.
