Guild Wars 2 player assembles massive season one movie

While Guild Wars 2 is right now in the middle of its third season of the living world campaign, there's always a chance that you've missed out on the story and action from the first season way back when.

Fortunately for you, the community has assembled a massive season one movie that includes all of the quests, cutscenes, and stories as a way to catch up on the narrative (or just go through a refresher course). It's a pretty long video, clocking in at two hours and 40 minutes, but then again, it was a pretty long season.

Clear your Monday schedule and give the following movie a watch, all under the guise of "research!"

This is why I question the player numbers.

GW2 story is one of the absolute worst in all of video games but fortunately the game is more fun than a lot.

If you question numbers based on story better not look at WoW...

Furthermore TSW should be the best selling mmo of all time.

I never have a clue what's going on, I just go with it. Plants being evil, dragons being dragons, people dying, other people being irresponsible and/or cute. Just give me the mastery points so I can buy leyline gliding!

The lack of a pop filter makes this unwatchable for me

Super cool stuff for those who dig those stories. These kinds of fan-made compilations come in handy for all sorts of games with long stories or many sequels and stuff.

I thought the "personal story" content I forced myself through was pretty rotten and the beginning parts of that video seem to hold up to what I remember. I honestly can't tell if some of those scenes are voiced by community volunteers for these videos or if the early story stuff was just that rough in GW2 (not talking about the added narration). edit: Oh, no the VO seems mostly bad throughout. Oh well, I could get over that.

This would be handy if I wanted to give Season 3 a chance some day since I'm logging in to claim the episodes for it anyway.

@agemyth I never understood having to log in to claim an episode.  I didn't play a huge amount of GW2 but the episodes are free?  If so why can't I just play them whenever without being shackled to a log in to claim?

@Karl_Hungus Liked your meme cause it amused me. Sadly I'd actually rate the personal stories on par with Twilight. :( In other words they suck.
