Bless Online merges servers again in Korea

It looks as if Bless Online's Korean operators are merging servers again, though they've opened one too, so the total tally will seemingly hold even. Pmang says that it's opened a new server, Lumen, and merged the Tania server into it, completely with compensation rewards for those affected.

This won't mark the first time we've seen merges for the Korean-born MMORPG; we reported a round of "server integrations" in both February and June of 2016. The last round brought to the total down from at least 10 to just two, where we apparently still sit -- just with a different two.

Over here in the west, we're still awaiting news from Aeria Games, which is expected to publish the game here later this year, though the release has already been hampered by delays. The studio strongly rejected rumors in December that the game's launch had been canceled, telling Massively OP that its devs are still "working closely with Neowiz on the gameplay improvement aimed for the North American and European version!"

Well i hope they do a better job than 101xp.com in russia. What i´ve seen in the russian beta was shitty performance and clunky combat. If that is what we will get than this game will not be very successful after the usual hype.

They had two old one new. Tjey merged two olds. They launched that neew one with mystic job and 50 patch. Game is good but will be cash grabbed. It neefs more content to hold over players though.

They get updates every three months. So i suspect april and july updates then na launch.

Doesn't every game have regions where they perform better? They might try to release it in the west to see how it does.

@Mochaccino Yup.  I think it would do better in the west, muck like BDO has.  But, the western dev has it on lock down for some reason.

@Jilano @Mochaccino @Qarran

Ah, they're publishing it.

"Here are a couple of things that Neowiz Bless Studio will be working on"

Neowiz will still be working on it so there is no western dev. Almost got my hopes up a bit there heh.

@Mochaccino @Jilano @Qarran Oops! My bad, indeed.

Anyway, after spending some time on the RU OBT, the combat improvements will be quite welcome. (I had trouble targeting the enemy I wanted in "combat mode", especially with the Assasin.)

This is an instence whete east has not caught up to west. Korea spends the most to learn english. Its also one of top ten global languages

It should not be hard for the developer countries these days to hire a staff. Open an office. And keep all profits.

As its been seen all games that used a publisher and came over have failed. Time to cut out the middle man.

Bless seems to be cursed.

I have a feeling this will not be coming to the West.

@dantetifosi It's not looking good. Lol.  And they are already merging servers in Kor?  And this isn't the first time?

@dantetifosi And if it does, once the Western "leet PvPers" start pack-hunting lowbies and killing them in the cities and towns, it will most likely die off very quickly.  Age of Wushu had that whole "PvP anywhere" too, and where's that game now?

Rumor is Aeria wants a revamped combat system.  That's like asking for new legs.  Only a rumor though.

Surely we would here more about Bless in NA if it was going to happen this year though.

What is the point of opening a "new" server and immediately merging a single existing server with it?

@McGuffn I don't know much about this game, but I have been playing some games lately that provided a "new player experience" that allows you to level up a lot faster than normal on newly opened servers. This could be one of those, allowing new players to level up quickly enough to get a strong endgame on the server again, before loosing even more endgame players due to lack of population.

League of Angels - Fire Raiders ( not an MMO, not recommended either ) gives out ridiculous amounts of items every day on a new server, allowing you to push pretty hard, if you want, for the first 30 days.
