Skyforge is arriving on PlayStation 4 this spring

The PlayStation consoles have long held a claim on the God of War franchise, but why stop there? Why have just one god when you could have a bunch of gods? That sounds like a job for Skyforge, and it will be when the game gets released on the PlayStation 4 in the spring. It's coming to consoles, and it's bringing deific action along with it, complete with the same style of content that players have already been enjoying on the PC.

Are you more inclined to start playing a game on console if you get fun stuff to go along with it? You can sign up with your PSN account now to unlock special rewards when the game goes live, giving you a new outfit and glowing eyes. PS Plus subscribers also get wings and tattoos to be that much more stunning on the field. Check out the trailer just below; if you've long thought the game would be a fine match for consoles, your wish is coming true.

I did really like Skyforge, but I'm super not into the huge changes they made to the way you pretty much earn everything and much of the game. It may be easier for people to earn classes and stuff now, but I liked having to put in a bit of work for them personally. I guess that's the minority of us or something I don't know, since they felt the need to change it up.

HuffPo said this was another of Trump's many favors to Russia. I believe them (because they're popular).

More mmos for my console? Sweet! The game looks good, but numerous people saying it's too grindy has me thinking I'll pass. If I wanted to play a grindy mmo on my console, I would've stuck with FFXIV.

"Unlock 14 classes and switch instantly."

What they don't tell you is that if you actually want to unlock more than 2 or 3 classes you either have to give them money or grind for the rest of your life.

I played it off and on for a few months it was pretty fun at first then you realize how much of a grind it truly is and it's a pretty quick torn-off.

Actually they changed it a lot, due to people whining. No offense or anything but it wasn't *that* much of a grind. I'm a very casual player and got some advanced classes pretty soon by just building straight towards them.

I did spend money on the game as well and had a premium account so I advanced faster than free people for sure, that said I don't really care what people who want to play these games totally free and not give back anything to the development of the game have to say about it taking too long when they're getting it all without paying.

There are free players who whined endlessly until they got the game changed and I'm frustrated that it changed.

It's far different than it used to be. It's too easy to just play through and get all the classes now. The advanced stuff doesn't have much prestige behind having it anymore as everybody just gets all the classes playing through levels of the game now. I find it appalling, and evidently the people like you who they changed the game for still think it's back the old way so you guys still complain out of ignorance in comments as if it's too grindy even though it's been updated to be the way you like it.

I don't know if you're serious or not, a lot of people do like grinding stuff out. That said it was only grindy to begin with if you were a totally free player getting everything for free, and even then it wasn't nearly as bad as some of them are making out. This one just took a little bit of work, they haven't played a true grindy game to know the difference.

Anyway the game has been overhauled and it's much different, much to my chagrin. You get all the classes now just by playing through the levels the way the game sets them out for you. The way you play through the game and levels now is much different too, I don't like it nearly as much but it's easier for the free player whining leechers to get everything given to them free now.

Yeah, the game used to take a little bit of work to get the better stuff. You couldn't just fly through in a few days and be maxed out with everything. The higher tier god powers especially took a while. This was all prestige stuff to work for that you more or less get handed to you now in comparison as you play. It's still a fun game, the basic gameplay and fighting is still there, but it's easy to earn everything now, those complaining freebies got their way.

Darn near infinite progression in this game, that said, you make progress in as little as fifteen minutes since it's not level based.

Nice. Another MMO on my Console is always awesome.

But....is this game actually any good? I've only heard of the name, I don't actually know anything about the game.

Any current players wanna give a rundown?

I'm not a current player but I played for a bit during beta and then after launch. It's a 3rd person action MMO that breaks the 'holy trinity' model similar to GW2 (no dedicated healer classes). Visually it's very nice. Most of the content is instanced but there are a few 'open world' zones more like a traditional MMO where you'll see other people running around. It gets pretty grindy, though. You'll be replaying the same missions over and over and over to get the currencies you need to unlock the abilities of your current class as well as other classes.
