Nexon has made a “strategic investment” into Korea-based IMC Games, the companies announced in a press release this morning. IMC Games is known to MMO gamers chiefly for its stewardship of MMOARPG Tree of Savior, which launched in the west on Steam last year.
The partnership won’t come as too much of a surprise to our audience; Nexon and IMC Games announced last fall that they had joined forced to port Tree of Savior to mobile devices. It’s destined for the global market.
“With this investment, Nexon and IMC GAMES will work closely together to reinforce service of Tree of Savior and launch Tree of Savior: Mobile Remake globally, which is currently under development.”
