The Stream Team: Doing DDO's 11th anniversary dev dungeon

Did Massively OP's MJ hear there's a party? Yes, yes she did. Today is DDO's 11th anniversary, and the game is throwing a party. That party just happens to be in a dungeon. Filled with devs trying to kill you. Really. All the mobs in the anniversary dungeon are named after devs, and the group is taking MJ in to "celebrate" (she thinks this is actually code for getting her killed). On the positive side, there is also cake! So tune in live at 9:00 p.m. to join in the anniversary celebration.

What: Dungeons & Dragons Online
Who: MJ Guthrie
When: 9:00 p.m. EST on Tuesday, February 28th, 2017

The show is over now, but we've embedded it here just for you. Don't forget to check out past streams and playlists posted to our videos collection!

Hmm... all the kobolds sound like Ashly Burch!

Havent played the game in years, but that looked fun.

iirc, there was a period of time when you had to combine/transfer your DDO account to your LOTRO/Turbine account. I had trouble with it and had to contact support way back then to get them to do it manually... but it's probably far too late for your old DDO account now if you never combined it.

While it is true you will probably want to at least buy adventure packs if you continue playing, I was easily able to get to level 4 or 5* in the game just as a free player years ago.

I am thinking you were just in the wrong area. If you think you might like the game, maybe give it another look. :)

(*which may not seem like much, but each level in DDO is more like 5 levels in other MMOs)

That may be a bug. Did you try the starter quests on Korthos Island first? The entire area is free to play.

I think that most (all?) of the quests in Stormreach Harbor are F2P, so even skipping Korthos will leave you with plenty of quests...
