Aion gets enchantment fever, orders Patch 5.3 to bed rest for a few extra days

It’s always best to get the bad news out of the way first, rip that bandage off and all that. So here it is: Aion’s Patch 5.3 has been delayed until March 15th due to a “critical issue” with the new Atreian Passport that could result in players losing rewards.

“In order to allow time for a fix to be properly developed and tested, we’re making the difficult but necessary decision to postpone the Aion 5.3 launch until March 15,” the team posted. “We understand you’ve been looking forward to this launch as much as we have.”

To distract from that sting, the team has a lot of diversions going on for the intermediate days. Aion is extending its Kromede’s Revenge event and running a bonus XP event until the patch goes live. There’s also an enchantment event as well that will give players easy access to great gear — with the caveat that the gear will fall apart unless players can “break” the enchantment on it by the 15th.
