While Secret World Legends isn’t going to allow you to import your character from The Secret World, you will have the opportunity to keep that name you’ve been playing under since launch (or whenever).
What you will need to do is log into all of your TSW characters whose names you want to keep by tomorrow morning. At 10:00 a.m. EDT on Wednesday, Funcom will be purging the MMO’s name database of any characters that haven’t logged on in the past six months. After that, players can create new characters with any names that were freed up and go ahead and reserve a name for the upcoming Secret World Legends.
You’ll reserve your name through your account page when all of this goes down. You will have to make a choice, however, as you will only be able to reserve a single name for the game. Reserved names will be held for three months following SWL’s launch.
