SWTOR’s development road map is coming this week

It’s the end of May, and Star Wars: The Old Republic players are still waiting for that promised road map about the game’s development going forward. The good news is that the wait should be up very, very soon.

In a roundup of developer forum posts, Xam Xam points to a comment from BioWare saying that “it’s still the plan” to reveal the road map by the end of May. Which, if you’re looking at your calendar, is wrapping up its epic 2017 run in just a couple of days. The team said that the road map is “completed and going through the normal review process.”

BioWare also explained why there seems to be more and longer periods of maintenance as of late: “Essentially, we have been migrating from one datacenter to another and upgrading the game server hardware and supporting software. You won’t directly notice improvements in performance, but these changes dramatically help us maintain the game and improve its overall reliability.”
