PWE posts summer event schedule for Neverwinter, Star Trek Online, Champions Online

“Sun’s out, guns out,” a PWE press blast quipped today — all because the MMO studio is kicking off a ton of summer events across its range of games, including some of the more relatively obscure ones.

In Neverwinter, for example, the titular city will be festooned in glitter for the 4th anniversary Protector’s Jubilee. Jubilee unicorns were mentioned. That’s June 20-27, while July will see the summer festival with feasts, contests, and snail mounts.

In Star Trek Online, dip into the Lolunah Festival’s Summer Resort, “where [you] will cruise around on floaters and complete challenges for rewards, including pets, costumes, powerboards and Lohlunat Prize Vouchers.” You will be doing these things June 8th through July 20th. You will then turn yourselves into the lore police, but it will have been worth it.

Champions Online was not forgotten! “In celebration of Canada Day and Independence Day, Champions Online offers heroes a way to rep the countries they love with the return of the Patriot’s Celebration,” says PWE. “This in-game event lets champions queue up for the Red Winter Alert, which requires them to fight off an enemy looking to bring about the next Cold War. Defeating this foe will earn players Patriot Tokens, which can be used to earn new rewards, including the Orbiting Star Aura, Stars Aura, US and Canadian Flag Athletics and Acrobatics and a Valiant Emote.”

Swordsman has four different events queued up: a June 8th PvP tourney, the Divinity update on June 22nd, a dungeon-running competition beginning at the end of June, and of course, the game’s 3rd birthday festivities beginning next week.

In Perfect World International, gamers will be hunting aliens, bopping bosses, and deciphering treasure maps in staggered events running through June and July.

Finally, Forsaken World turns six years old on June 1st, so expect the anniversary events to begin soon! The game will also host a summer games tourney beginning in August.

Yes, bring out the same recycled ‘summer content’ for the umpteenth year in a row (well maybe just the 4th or 5th, but still)… ;)

Hey Armsman!

Does STO have exploration yet?

There is a rather significant difference between turning yourself in to the lore police, and turning yourself into the lore police.

Damnit, I gotta find a guide for the STO event to finally get the swimsuit outfit. My Starfleet crew needs them some bikini armor, and the Enterprise midriff outfit doesn’t quite fit that bill.

Sadly, your Captain is the only one that can wear a bikini. Though if you get the right one(s) pieces are available in the Off Duty tab for wearing on away missions.

Awwww that’s a bit of a bummer. Oh well, my captain can lead from her bikini while her ground squad wears slightly more sensible combat attire.
