As promised by the dev team last week, Secret World Legends’ first post-launch patch is here and contains a lot of quality-of-life improvements for the game as a whole and the business model in particular.

Headlining features kick off with the debut of the elite dungeon system, which offers 10 levels of increasing difficulty for the first five dungeons in the game. Dungeons in general have improved, with a better chance of useful loot available in each boss chest and XP enabled for repeated runs.

Weapon and sprint unlocks have been lowered in cost, and Funcom is more than willing to make up the difference to anyone who has spent currency on them. One of the more onerous free-to-play restrictions involving trading between players has been removed entirely for players level 15 on up. All players also get an additional 10 slots in their inventory with today’s patch, which is welcome news for space-starved bees.

Funcom definitely sweetened the deal to become a patron, with such players now earning bonus AP and SP, 20% more Marks of Favor from challenges, and free teleports across playfields.
