Crusaders of Light launches globally on iOS with Android coming next week

Will there ever be a mobile MMORPG that handles the complexity and delivers the fun of a desktop or console experience? There have been many games have tried to crack this nut, like Order and Chaos, Pocket Legends, and AdventureQuest 3D, to varying results.

A new challenger in this market appears this week, as Crusaders of Light launched its “true mobile MMORPG” on the Apple iOS store. Don’t worry, Android users, your day is coming next week on July 20th.

Crusaders of Light looks like a colorful, stylized game in the vein of World of Warcraft. It sports three classes, lots of quests, and 40-player raids. Is this the mobile MMO for you? Watch the launch trailer below to figure that out!

I just can’t get invested in a mobile game. For me they tend to be short distractions at best and honestly I’d rather read a book on my Kindle App if I am caught out someplace for a while and need something to help me pass the time.

Basically the experience “is” lacking for the most part in my opinion. Hell it’s lacking for me as well with consoles and laptops. For me, gaming has always been about desktop units or tabletop gaming.

There really are so many mobile MMORPGs that you guys here at this site are oblivious to (no offense or anything, you all are primarily PC and then console players), and some of them are pretty complex. Far more complex and large than the three you mention – though the original Order and Chaos wasn’t horrible for it’s time back when it first came out many years ago.

You guys here are slightly clueless when it comes to mobile MMORPGs. There are some serious gems hidden in the store under the big known pay to win stuff published by the PC companies (which are the ones you guys seem to mostly be familiar with – though obviously AQ3D isn’t P2W).

Would love if you could post some links to Android MMOs. I’m always looking for something fun and not an infuriating waiting-or-part-with-your-money simulator.

It is possible to play on Android currently , I’m in a guild on new eu server with Android users. Have to download apk and install that way. They’re running a crazy give away for first dungeon clear of heroic Fort raid. 400k 10k per person in 40 man raid.

Boo, boo I say! How dare those iOS scrubs get the game before the Android Master Mobile Race does!

(the scrubs part was a joke folks :P)

Silence, peasant. You’ll get your chance to be disappointed in how much this sucks compared to a PC game. We iOS gods exercise our right to have our hopes dashed FIRST! :P
