Forgot if you’ve answered this before, but what was your Rit’s build?

I’m sure it was garbage before heroes. I remember running a secondary-healer/splinter-weapon build for a long time (I so loved splinter weapon) before giving up and going straight support spirit spammer. I always secretly wanted to be a minion bomber but always felt like it was a ton of work for not much payoff!

In Factions, between the time that Necros were still smarting from their Nerfbat beating and the Signet of Spirits spammer patch, the Minion Bomber was actually a valid meta-build for a good portion of the game, but Vizunah Square was where they outshone the Necro, and still remains their turf. Yes, manually enchanting Death Nova was a PitA, but even with a pathetic reaction time, you can still boost your AOE damage through the roof, in a mission where there’s just more and more mobs that love to clump around minions.

Every patch out seemed to be a Necro nerf, which only made the Rit shine brighter. The addition of the Minion UI (Y) just made it even easier. Until Heroes came out, and all of a sudden, everyone wanted a full team of Necro Heroes, including the Rit. Once Necro Heroes became an option, the Rit was free to take optional skills, such as Putrid Bile and Necrosis, and offload skills such as Death Nova, Dwayna’s Sorrow, and interrupts onto Heroes. When that happened, Vizunah Square and other mob-heavy missions with exploitable corpses became Rit Heaven, and Necro became a permanent Hero pick or Secondary, never something to take as a Main.

For missions that didn’t have that many corpses, or none, Rit just went SoS Spammer, and moved on. Necros had no such flexibility.

I wrote a guide to the Minion Bomber on GWGuru, but since it went kaput, I had to search for a version on the Wayback Machine: https://web.archive.org/web/20150404013208/http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/new-minion-bomber-t3039479.html

As you mentioned about Absolver, Warframe also has different combat stances for each melee weapon class with different animation sets to collect or buy almost like a “cosmetic”, to change up things! Combined with extra unlockable combos for each stance along the way!

http://warframe.wikia.com/wiki/Stance

45 available stances, divided among 22 different melee weapon types.

Oh yeah good catch that didn’t register with me when I was listening to that bit.

As it happens I am currently crafting another fire sword (yay 12 hour build times) so that I can use a duel sword stance mod called Swirling Tiger I found recently. Looks like it might be fun but I will probably be horrible with it but will give it a try just for laughs.

Just when you think you know some people a little bit along comes the Massively OP child care advice podcast.

Make your six year old cry by reminding them of something they forgot about is gone. Also popular is locking your child in the wardrobe, honestly honey if you look hard enough you are sure to find Narnia. Its all character building and your kids will thank you for it when they get older, hehe.

Seriously though that was a fun and interesting podcast. The interview with the Ark composer was well worth listening to. Justin if you ever get that hour of chatting I hope you record it because I would be quite happy to listen in too :-)
