One Shots: Sacred space
Anyone a little excited about Guild Wars 2 these days? Probably not, but on the off-chance that there’s a glimmer of hype and hope alive, here’s a reminder that there’s some stuff that was put out for the game and other stuff that’s coming for the game. Deserty-stuff.
“I don’t want to spoil much about the latest Guild Wars 2 episode, so here is just a shot from inside of Divinity’s Reach palace temple, where it begins!” Miol submitted.
I wish I could un-spoil myself from that screenshot, because now I know the game’s design plans for the next seven years, all from the subtle clues that are contained in those stained glass windows. How I wish I could erase that knowledge and experience it as a wide-eyed child would!
“Ever log in to games you used to be very serious about?” Severin askes. “A weird picture for me. A hello? A goodbye? This is my gunslinger React. The guild would joke that it’s my name because I don’t. I’ve lost so many screens of the nights we spent in nightmare mode operations around the SWTOR launch. That’s where I took some hutt’s hat and stuffed it full of endgame augments. It looks dumb but to me and maybe a few particular people it represents a single period of strong, clear memories.”
If you’re going to kick some butt, you might as well look the part, right?
Here’s to Kawaii Five-O making the rest of us look bad in Final Fantasy XIV: “Was helping a friend finish their quest to 70 and snapped this rather dynamic pic during a break.”
Utakata doesn’t mind taking a break every now and then in WildStar to check out the view from the back porch of her floating island home. Yeah, it’s sort of OK. Needs more color, to be honest.
“See ya on the other side, Coop!”
And Captain Hirku was never heard from again after that fateful black hole expedition in Elite: Dangerous. We’ll assume that he’s set up as a space pirate king in some far-off galaxy.
Need a screenshot challenge this week? Sure you do! Let’s see a picture or two that represents the most fun you’ve had playing MMOs this summer so far!
