Riders of Icarus update adds an elephant on fire

We have to admit that our pachyderm training has become a little rusty ever since we went into the games journalism industry instead of following in our parents’ zoologist footsteps, but we are pretty sure that elephants do not enjoy being set on fire. Even if the excuse given is to provide a little more visual pizzazz.

Flaming elephants — a new type of familiar, as a matter of fact — are only the beginning of this week’s Riders of Icarus update. The team opened up a pair of new legendary dungeons, Temple of Sands and the Elder’s Bastion, which contains these familiars as well as some wicked-looking armor sets.

Another big change with this patch is that players will be able to recycle some of their older gear and put it to good use: “Riders will now be able to utilize equipment that has previously been tempered and/or transcended to be used as a crafting material. The conditions for a piece of equipment to be used as a material is that they have to have a minimum of +15 Temper Levels.”
