Destiny 2’s PC beta gets off to a rocky start

SUPER, ALL GOOD
It’s a shaky go for launch.

As promised, Destiny 2 kicked off the headstart for its PC beta test today, preceding tomorrow’s official start for everyone else. The test will run through Thursday, August 31st, and allow computer players to see how their version of the game stacks up to the console edition, which has been in testing for weeks now.

Not everything is guns ‘n’ roses, however. A couple of dire launch errors have kept players from getting into the game (which is a double shame, since all of today’s eligible crowd has spent money on a pre-order). Error messages with odd names like “saxaphone” or “chive” have been popping up, with Bungie furiously tackling them so that everyone will be able to get in and play.

Looking to take part in the beta fun? Head on over to the official site and enlist for the battle this week!
