WRUP: Can talk, Path of Fire edition

HOT TIMES, SUMMER IN THE CITY

Welcome to another installment of What Are You Playing and… oh, jeez. Where are all of you? See, this is what I was worried about. There’s no one here this weekend, you’re all off playing Guild Wars 2. Me, I’m stuck here just… talking to myself.

See, I already had my big expansion launch this year. That was the one I was looking forward to like the birth of a child. It’s not as if I’m not going to play Guild Wars 2 with the expansion, that’s already a plan, but now I’m totally free to talk and no one wants to listen. You’re all just playing with new elite specializations and I’m… left over here. Wishing and hoping, and so forth. And if I just show up to join in, then I’ll look like the tagalong.

Sigh. Well, those of you who are here can let me know about your weekend plans down in the comments, that’s something. Meanwhile, I will… well, probably jump into the expansion myself, but later. I have standards. No bandwagons for me.

Andrew Ross (@dengarsw): Pokemon Go double dust, right after my first Mewtwo raid is happening. It’s timing is perfect (even if this first Mewtwo is too weak to blow any dust on). Also, some Marvel vs Capcom Infinite with friends. Not a lot, I’m guessing, since it’s a tournament and I’m old and rubbish at 2D fighters now, but I’ll enjoy upgrading from Mega Man and Morrigan to X and Morrigan! Oh, wait; maybe X and a Monster Hunter!

Brianna Royce (@nbrianna, blog): Alas, but Guild Wars 2 is rather inconveniently dropping an expansion on a weekend when I won’t be home much to enjoy it, thanks to plans made many months ago. But I hope to play a bit Friday and maybe I’ll get to peek in Sunday. Excite!

Eliot Lefebvre (@Eliot_Lefebvre, blog): In the “usual” category I’ve got my projects in Final Fantasy XIV, and in the “less than usual” category I’ve got GW2. That should keep me pretty well occupied through the weekend.

Justin Olivetti (@Sypster, blog): I have a lot of little projects on deck for this weekend, including finding a Dungeons & Dragons Online guild, working my way through Carpathian Fangs in Secret World Legends, and hopefully getting out of one of the worst Mordor zones in Lord of the Rings Online. I would love to buy and play Divinity: Original Sin 2, but there’s this thing called “money” that’s getting in the way.

Your turn!
