RuneScape unleashes ghastly stories and deadly stalkers for Halloween

Beware! RuneScape’s lands are no longer safe for mere mortals to tread. Now that Halloween is upon us, Jagex has opened up its dungeons to let out a couple of frightful events for this holiday.

In RuneScape, the team has activated a new quest called the Ghost Stories of Gielinor. During this, “players will discover and play through pages of spooky tales across the game world and compile them into the Ghastly Grimoire.” The stories in this quest were written by both devs and players, and those who compile the whole book will get a headless rider outfit.

Over in Old School RuneScape, a Friday the 13th-inspired stalker is coming after players. The hockey mask-wearing Jonas can be found about the game, and those who fight him can win a mask of their own and even recolor their skin to “zombie blue.” A day after Halloween, Old School RuneScape is also turning on new “King of the Skill” servers with special hardcore rules and some tempting prizes for winners.
