MU Legend heads into soft launch today

Today’s a big day for MU Legend as it moves from the official realm of testing to the realm of launch. Sure, the game is calling today its open beta, but there will be no further wipes before the official launch and everyone can jump in right now. Plus, you can spend money on the game. So that’s a soft launch, and we’d like to welcome the title to launchville.

It’s a real place. We promise.

More new features like a 3v3 combat mode are slated to arrive in the game before the end of the year, and further features like territory wars are on the docket as well (although considering how much of the year is left, you will probably need to wait until 2018 for that). Check out the open beta trailer just below, or if you’re at home (or in a particularly relaxed workplace) you can just download the game and start playing. And then check back this afternoon, as we’ll be streaming the game on OPTV!

I am trying to remember if it was this or the Mobile versin they cane out with … I think it was the mobile and it wasn’t very good, so I will try this out and see if it is any better.

Anyone have any feedback on this game? Just another grind fest? Worth a try? The website is pretty sparse…

I downloaded it a couple days ago and played for a bit earlier today. It looks good enough, I suppose it plays well enough, and there are various systems for mechanical customization of your character. I just wish the UI customization was as fleshed out as the cash shop. Also, the Spellbinder class isn’t available to play yet.

The original MU dates back to the same time as Lineage 1 and when UO was the biggest game in South Korea.

L1 is really just UO built with Diablo 2’s game mechanics / but MU was like if Diablo 2 had an open, persistent world (with respawing mobs and sruff) like a regular MMO.

I poked around on youtube for some gameplay videos.

It didn’t look very appealing to me.

I really want MMO style raids without all the leveling up BS. No trash mobs, just difficult encounters.

Reward me with Transmog/Glamour style gear/ability modifiers…

Why is no one making this thing? :(
