Crowfall shows off the Cleric powers in action

The Cleric of Crowfall is not solely a healer. That’s not to say the Cleric doesn’t heal people, of course; in fact, several of the powers you’ll see in the video down below and one of the Cleric’s ultimate abilities are there for healing allies. But the Cleric is also a solid ranged character with the ability to stun, root, and just generally demolish enemies. You’ll be doing that while healing; that’s the trick.

Clerics can place a few different areas on the ground with healing or rooting effects for allies and enemies, respectively. They can also passively buff allies with an HP aura or an attack power aura, blind enemies at range, or even just convert support power to attack power and go to town for a short time. Check out all of this in action in the video just below.

Huh. I gave the game a pass when it started pushing for early access because I’m one of those “waaah I’m a career healer gimmie muh healing pee light” guys, but this works.

This works well.

Nice to see a potential healing-class that can do more than just heal.

Playing healers in some games is such a completely thankless task where you have to deal with Leeroy Jenkins type players who angrily blame you for not keeping them alive when they do something egregiously stupid.

Hopefully,Crowfall has found a way to make playing “the healer” fun here.

The puns are getting pretty stagnant.

I like the tool kit for the Cleric. Wonder how it will pair with the Bard abilities?

While Elkens actually looked pretty unique, the Cleric seems pretty standard. Almost the same abilities as a Neverwinter cleric if I remember correctly. I hope they have a less standard healer in the game too.

Crowfall’s other main healing class is the druid

https://www.crowfall.com/en/news/first-look-druid-powers-ui/

there is also a tank class with some minor healing – the templar

You are spot on with your Neverwinter comparison.

I have an embarrassing amount of money in Star Citizen, Camelot Unchained, and Crowfall… Just waiting for them to finish baking in the oven… lol but at least they are all kinda making pretty good progress.

Pantheon would be the one I’d back if I had some money to burn, but I guess I’m more of a PvE guy.

You know I’ve thought about it, and I’ve really wanted a good, quality PvE experience for a long time. I ran out of money right around the time their KS was going on or I prooobably would have throw cash at the screen! Been keeping a close eye on it along with Chronicles of Elyria and very keen eye on Ashes of Creation.

Exactly why I’m glad I don’t have money. I’d be hip dip in everything.

At the time I had some disposable income… Of course, now a new round of stuff I want to back comes out, but I don’t have that same level of disposable income haha
