Massively OP’s 2017 Blooper Awards: Defunct MMORPG with the most coverage

Massively OP’s not-so-serious end-of-the-year awards begin today with our blooper award for Defunct MMORPG with the most coverage. And the winner is…

City of Heroes

You thought I was going to say Star Wars Galaxies, but nope! In fact, Master X Master’s decision earlier this year to “honor” City of Heroes by incorporating heroes from the beloved sunsetted MMO brought the game to the front page once again in dramatic fashion.

Well, that's better.

It doesn’t hurt that there are a ton of serious superhero MMORPGs on the horizon that earn the game a mention at least once a week too.
