I’ve been following this game since it’s inception, mainly because I knew the guy who did the character creation system. That’s the best part about the game, and they implemented features that even AAA companies ignore, like a system to minimize clipping without reducing the number of compatible costume pieces.

The character creation should be the main focus of their demos, since that makes them stand out really well compared to other games with character creation. The ship part and mission interiors is extremely barebones. Modular assets everywhere in the instanced missions and not even good ones at that. Anyone doing game design knows that modular assets are as basic as you can get when designing an environment, and seeing all the texture seams are really offputing, as well as the extremely saturated and lego looking environment exterior buildings.

I really don’t want to bash them, I just think that their environments aren’t ready for “show” yet and they should really stick to what is most important when doing demos, and that is their well fleshed out character creation.

I am not sure the character creation system is their best feature. From the sound of it, you can’t even remotely create anything close to wolverine or any legendary hero, even if that is not your intent. That means no claws, no lighting bolt ears, no cowl with ears. Sounds like a crappy creation system to me.

Character creation is crap because no claws, lighting bolt ears and cowls with ears, got it.

Pleasant stream, lot of answers provided by the devs.

A bit disappointed there wasn’t too much yet to show and not all is going to be as I’d hope but for a non-triple A title in its early stages it looks promising.

i was excited when i first heard about the various new city of heroes esqe games coming out. but after seeing this i see we have a long way to go before you make something that can compete with even the likes of dcuo online,

i still have hope tho and appreciate what you guys are doing. if i can mention one thing that turns me off from this game tho. it is the ui so far. most of it looks like a exact copy and paste from swtor right down to the to the color scheme. i would at least change the colors a bit, to like a navy blue for hero characters and if you ever add villians maybe a red ui scheme for them
