Secret World Legends patch lays foundation for more events

Scraps of hope, brief Twitter conversations, and small hotfixes: These are the things that the Secret World Legends community are hanging onto these days as they await any word from Funcom on the larger content offerings that were promised for this winter.

A couple of small patches have recently hit the game to keep that hope alive. The January 17th update patched in functionality that will allow Funcom to run more “systems events.” The studio pointed to the upcoming double anima shard weekend as an example of such an event.

And for those that ended up with a load of unused malevolent snowflakes in their inventory after the winter event, the patch on January 9th allowed them to turn those in for currency.

Now that the relaunch has settled down, is it proving any better populated than the original version?

Yeah, „any word“ would be something, seeing that the brief, uhm, burst on Twitter one week ago already fizzled out.

Eyyyy, that’s some good news. The game would benefit from in-game events like bonus Anima Shards or AP/SP or XP (I doubt we’d ever get bonus MoF).

Now to hope they bother to drop some info on what they’re working on now and what’s coming around the bend for folks. I’m still working my way through Tokyo (almost done with Kaiden), and I’m hungry for more content afterwards rather than spending time farming the content I’ve already done.

Yeah, just finished the Orochi Tower main story line this weekend. Brings me to the same story point I had been in TSW what 2, 3 years ago? Hoping they issue new content this time rather than relaunch

Are Docks/Tower like, fully fleshed out zones a la Kaiden? I always thought they were just part of Kaiden, but now as I near the end of that zone it’s appearing otherwise >.>

In TSW, the docks were more of a nightmare zone. Parts of them needed multiple people (or one very well geared person). They were Kaiden’s quarry :) (not that the quarry is the quarry anymore…even my references are dated!)

Not sure if they’re different in SWL though.

It’s a good confidence booster for those who were starting to lose hope.
