I watched the stream, so nice to be able to see the inside of the game from at least some perspective to get some closure. Finally decided to delete Rift from my Hard Drive though, so odd that an 7 year old game could look so dated next to GW2 (which is bootstrapped to an Engine even older).

To me Rift was a bit of a pioneer creating dynamic events, though recently I learned that Warhammer was the game that was more of a predecessor to the more recent generation of MMOs even though I mistakenly believed Rift was the spiritual father so the speak.
