World of Warcraft’s Seething Shore is a new battleground available now

The next expansion for World of Warcraft is going to have a lot of focus on the faction conflict, so why not get geared up for that conflict now? The game’s newest battleground, the Seething Shore, is available for play right now. For the moment, it’s only available as the weekly Brawl option, but starting on March 6th it’ll be part of the regular battleground rotation and won’t go away again.

Players in this battleground will be competing to gather as much Azerite as possible from this island off the coast of Silithus, with three nodes active at once and a grand total of 1,500 Azerite needed for victory. Additional powerups will rain down from overhead during the fight, however, so you’ll have to keep your team mobile and flexible. You can check out the trailer for the battleground just below, or you can just hop into the game and start in on the weekly rotation for a brawl.

IMO, Eliot missed an opportunity for his sardonic cynicism that I like.

To all the people who say Blizzard is derivative and unoriginal, look at this BG. You start the conflict by jumping/parachuting in! No other game has ever done that!

For a company like Blizzard, this is a extremely lacking trailer.

There is no reason on earth to do a full CGI production for one BG map.

No need for a CGI production. I’m talking about a better in-game trailer. They have several of those.

I can think of one. Sales.

They make enough that they really don’t need to worry about.

Haha oh yeah, imagine the billions of dollars a single new Battleground map would rake in with a proper CGI trailer

The map really offer very little in terms of variety. It is kind of fun and adds to the lore of the new expansion. The big advantage on it is that is a very quick game.

Having played the map now a half dozen times or so over the past two days – no.
