Project Gorgon player analyzes the current issue with the game’s skinning economy

The residents of Project Gorgon currently have something of a panther problem. Before you get ready for a panther-themed event complete with all sorts of panther gear (to be fair, that would make a certain amount of sense right now), it’s important to note that the problem isn’t one with invading and marauding panthers. It’s with the game’s economy, and more importantly how groups of panthers are the best effort-to-reward ratio in the entire game.

As outlined in a lengthy analysis, due to the game’s crafting structure (which never really abandons a given material) and the sheer power on AoE (which makes grinding things like huge panther packs very easy), panther hides can easily be acquired en masse, providing a quick and simple way to grind for large amounts of money in short order. Of course, the bright side is that the game is still in testing, so things like this can be addressed before the world collectively runs out of panthers.

Not got far enough to even worry about such things I am still noobing it up with skeletons and pigs.

I have been having a lot of performance issues in towns which makes visiting them a bit of a pain in the rear. Even if I set everything to minimum I often get single digit fps which is not idealwhile I can run max setting everywhere else and have 60+.

I am sure it will be sorted out eventually but for now its frustrating my efforts to play a bit.

Mine, too. I’ll try to turn and the game will freeze, and then I don’t know what direction I’m facing. Sometimes it’ll take 3-4 times before I can get out of a building.

I bought this game, and I’m happy I bought it, but I kinda keep feeling like I’m missing something. Serbule just feels so empty. I’ve seen a few of the dungeons, and killed some wild animals, but I can go for long stretches of time without finding anything to do or see. Is it just this particular location? Will I find more once I move beyond the beginner area?

Also, I wish they’d take the colliders off the bushes if you can’t interact with them. They’re just in the way.

Bear in mind, the game went from open to closed alpha/beta/whatever.

So, now, people are required to buy it, and 40bucks isn’t really thaaaat accessible.

Meh, I’m not worried about this. I appreciate the analysis, but the game is in good hands.

Now, you really want to get down and dirty, let’s do an analysis on the devastating economic issues in a game like ArchAge.

No? Lol. I understand I don’t really need to know more about that either.
