BlizzCon 2018 has a date: The weekend of November 2nd

Blizzard fans, this year’s BlizzCon has a date, and that day is November 2nd and 3rd, almost three months after the launch of World of Warcraft’s Battle for Azeroth, meaning you won’t even be missing much grinding time to attend, and you can count on lots of post-mortemy-type panels rather than endless teasers. On the other hand? E-sports, e-sports, e-sports.

“This year’s event will again commence with the esports action of BlizzCon Opening Week, taking place at Blizzard Arena Los Angeles from October 25 to 29, where the initial rounds of the StarCraft II World Championship Series Global Finals, the Heroes of the Storm Global Championship Finals, and World of Warcraft Arena World Championship Finals will unfold. The competitions will culminate in Anaheim on November 2 and 3, where the champions of these tournaments along with those of the Overwatch World Cup and Hearthstone Global Games will be crowned.”

Last year’s event was sold out, so if you’re aiming to go, jot down these even more important dates: May 9th and 12th, when tickets will go on sale.

“The first BlizzCon ticket sale will take place Wednesday, May 9 at 7:00 p.m. PDT; the second ticket sale is scheduled for Saturday, May 12 at 10:00 a.m. PDT. Tickets can be purchased for $199 USD each (plus applicable taxes and fees) through the online ticketing service Universe. Tickets include two-day admission to the main event in Anaheim on November 2 and 3, and attendees will receive a commemorative BlizzCon goody bag containing a cache of loot for their favorite Blizzard games.”

Is it too soon to start chanting Diablo 4?

It seems like these days, Blizzcon is an awesome con to attend if you’re an e-sports fan, and a good weekend to follow MOP for Blizzard announcements if you like playing games.

No Diablo, no enthusiasm from me.

The only 2 things I really care to hear about this year at blizzcon:

1. Diablo sequel/expansion/new game
2. Overwatch stand alone PvE game.

If neither of those 2 things are gonna be at blizzcon this year, then its going to be complete waste of money unless you are just going there to hang out with your fellow gamers.

It’ll come eventually. They’ve been hiring for a diablo related project for the last year or two. Rykker has been covering it for a while now. Posistions are posted by Blizz and keep disappearing. When you go through it its a whole team basically. This year? Who knows.

LOL ….. OR unless you actually like some of their projects. Its ok to have an opinion but don’t assume mine is the same as yours.

Sorry, I should have worded it:

“unless ONE is just going there to hang out with ONE’s fellow gamers” instead of using the word “you” so you didnt think I was directly talking specifically to or about you.

Best thing to do with Diablo is to expect nothing then if something does happen its a nice surprise rather than a disappointment. I say this given the past few years it is barely covered at an event that is supposed to celebrate all things Blizzard
