Star Trek Online recruits a dozen Deep Space Nine actors for this summer’s expansion

The final Deep Space Nine cast members reprising their roles for Star Trek Online: Victory is Life were announced today, bringing the total up to an impressive 12 voice actors from the series.

The full roster of DS9 vets that will be encountered in the expansion include Alexander Siddig (Doctor Julian Bashir), Andrew Robinson (Councilor Elim Garak), Armin Shimerman (Quark), Aron Eisenberg (Captain Nog), Bumper Robinson (Elder First Dukan Rex), Jeffrey Combs (Weyoun and Brunt), J.G. Hertzler (General Martok), Max Grodénchik (Grand Nagus Rom), Chase Masterson (Leeta), Nana Visitor (Kira Nerys), René Auberjonois (Odo), and Salome Jens (Female Changeling).

Leading up to the June launch of the expansion, Star Trek Online is holding a contest to put a player on a Star Trek cruise ship and is running weekly faction-specific contests during the month of May.

And this is neither here nor there, but the special “Hearts and Minds” episode that only appears on Friday the 13ths is coming back tomorrow.

Grand Nagus ROM!?!! WHAT??!? lol! Loved that character.

edit… ok wow, reading comments below made me remember I totally forgot the DS9 episode where that was actually a thing. Guess I need to re-watch the show again.

Its cool to see this kind of reunion of the DS9 stars . Its still my favorite Trek series but if Discovery keeps up the good work it might have a contender .

As much as i hate PWE i will bite the bullet for this one. DS9 was my favorite Trek series. I just wish they could have got Jake Sisko as i know Capt.Sisko was trapped in the wornhole at the end of DS9. I hope we get to do missions with Garak. Also hear they revamped DS9 station to be more like the show too. Heck my character was logged off there a long time ago.

Based on how Avery Brooks acts these days I think hes also trapped in a wormhole in real life too.

Good news: Andrew Robinson as Garak.

Bad news: Cryptic missed a perfect opportunity to announce that Mark Allen Shepherd was returning as Morn, only to leave all of his dialogue on the cutting room floor by time the expansion shipped, just like old times.

It’s not canon, but it’s more respectable than getting a guest spot on Discovery.

Love the nod to his series ending title, “Grand Nagus Rom”. Still makes me laugh.

I always had the feeling that Rom was going to get assassinated within minutes of arrival on Ferenginar.

Wow, that’s an amazing cast list.

edit: holy crap, for the life of me I couldn’t remember who Bumper played in DS9… turns out he was the teenage Jem’Hadar from The Abandoned!

Had no idea he had been on DS9 myself. To me he’ll always be Dwight Conrad (or occasionally Dwight Slim.)
